DESCRIPTION

For dense materials. Because of its “tear drop” shape, the Mega Blade is our strongest blade ever. To date, no one has been able to break one. This blade is used differently than our Omni-directional blades. It is cuts mainly on the front and back, so to create a curve you will guide the material around the blade.

The Mega blade is so rigid that it has the ability to damage the saw itself if used improperly by pushing too hard. So keep in mind the “golden rule” to let the saw do the cutting and do not force the material.

Kit Components

• Mega Blade: Tear‑drop sintered‑diamond blade (0.072″ cross-section × 0.150″ thick), built for aggressive, front/back cutting in dense materials up to ¾″ thick 

• Two orange groove grommets, enabling quick and secure installation 

• Optionally paired with a Kevlar‑reinforced flocked belt (sold separately) to handle increased stress

Performance Specs

• Cutting style: Primarily front/back motions; gentle curves possible by guiding material around the blade Kerf: 0.072″ (round edge facing out, point inside).

• Grit: Aggressive—ideal for fused glass, stone, ceramic, thick glass 

• Max thickness: Cuts up to ¾″ — stabiliser foot may need removal to reach full depth 

• Blade life: ~50–100 hours under proper use 

• Caution: Extremely rigid—don’t force; can damage saw if misused
